Self-Care for Therapists in High Stress Times

On-line Workshop

Wednesday December 9th, 2020. 9-11:30 a.m.

Now that we’re into the long haul of Covid-19, we know it’s a marathon not a sprint!  So how do we up our practice of self-care and sustainability of our own resources and energy in these times?  How can we effectively address the rapid change and increase demands on our lives, and on your practices, made by the pandemic.

We can begin by remembering some of the basics of our training.  Self-care is at the core of an effective practice.  As we practice self-care we model it for our clients; we don’t stretch beyond our own limits, but set boundaries and work with the feelings and push back that may arise - our own and that of our clients.  And we practice what truly supports us to be available and renewed.

In this half day workshop, you will be supported to reflect on your relationship to self-care; be supported to create a re-set, and be held in a nurturing and inspiring environment to receive some “soul medicine” for your care-giver self.

Facilitated by Madeline Dietrich M.A.
Madeline is a seasoned therapist who will facilitate this workshop drawing from her own experience of creating a sustainable practice for over 30 years. Madeline will share her perspectives on this topic and offer tools to support you for better self-care.  Madeline is the creator of a program called Unlock Pleasure, that aims to re-define and reclaim pleasure as a resource for our greater well-being and increased resiliency.  www.madelinedietrich.com
