A weekend workshop to dig into the rich and complex topic of pleasure. The workshop will both inspire you, and give you concrete tools to bring the resource of pleasure into your day to day life, to build residency and greater wellbeing. The workshop will provide a grounding in how pleasure can be a path of spiritual development.
What comes to mind when you think about pleasure?
We all have misconceptions about pleasure. We also have a current relationship with pleasure that may or may not bring us fulfillment. Do you want to understand what blocks you from the experience of pleasure and make the inner shift to an increased capacity for real pleasure?
In this workshop you will learn about the broader definition of pleasure - what I call the Four Seasons of Pleasure - which includes the everyday pleasures, the sexual/erotic/sensual aspects of pleasure, the pleasure pain paradox, as well as the spiritual significance of pleasure.
I will draw on the teachings of The Pathwork Lectures. These teachings on pleasure are profound.
The Lectures offer: Pleasure is the organic outcome of emotional healing and spiritual development. Pleasure is our birthright. Pleasure is the “God” state and love is a pre-requisite. We need pleasure for healing and yet our wounded-ness and unconsciousness obstructs pleasure. The workshop will support you to bring these concepts into practical application in your life.
I will also draw from the methodology of Somatic Experiencing, from principles of Positive Psychology, and from my many years of working as a Somatic Therapist and Pathwork Helper, with the theme of pleasure with groups and individuals.
We will use teaching, meditation, experiential activities and process work. Through this workshop experience you will gain tools to deepen your relationship with pleasure.
The workshop will be offered On-line via Zoom.

“Forefront Psychotherapy had Madeline present a morning workshop called Unlock Pleasure for our counselling centre’s open house. Her presentation was innovative and captivating. She brought forward the information in a way that appealed to new and seasoned therapists alike. Her presentation style put the audience at ease and she kept each one of us captivated for the duration of her talk. We would highly recommend Madeline to any group looking for a speaker.”
